We are delighted to announce that our founder of Zinda Foods,\u00a0Anishya Kumar<\/a>, has WON Businesswoman of the Year at The 7th\u00a0British Indian Awards<\/a>. She picked up her award at a glittering awards ceremony held in Birmingham on\u00a0 26th July 2019! Anishya reached the finals through nominations from the public – and we would like to thank you so much for helping her win this award.<\/p>

Some of the top professionals and businesses from the British Indian Community were awarded for their ingenuity and achievements last night. It is such an honour that Anishya is among those 32 winners.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Three hundred of the most remarkable British Indians were shortlisted as finalists for the\u00a07th British Indian Awards 2019<\/a>. They received hundreds of nominations throughout the country. Anishya Kumar, founder of\u00a0Zinda Foods<\/a>, became a finalist in the Businesswoman of The Year category on July 9 2019. The awards recognise a wide range of achievements and include people from the worlds of business, charity, sport, arts, culture, education and medicine. \u00a0<\/p>

Anishya relocated to the UK 13 years ago from Bombay giving up her corporate consulting life to pursue her passion and dream of becoming a food entrepreneur. Starting with a meagre \u00a3200 pounds from her home kitchen 4 years ago, she moved Zinda Foods into our own BRC Accredited premises in 2017 & we now produce 12,000 wraps a week for over 90 Tesco stores and employ 12 staff. Our company has seen a growth of 9 times since the last quarter & we have very exciting plans to expand further.<\/p>

The British Indian Awards 2019<\/a> are organised by Oceanic Consulting<\/a> \u2013 the UK\u2019s leading ethnic awards company. CEO Irfan Younis said: \u201cCongratulations to all winners and finalists. The night produced some memorable moments, and gave thanks to those hard-working and brilliant people who cement Indian culture and presence in all sectors of this country. These awards provide winners and finalists with a great platform to further establish their achievements<\/em>. \u201d<\/p>

\u201cBeing nominated by the public for Businesswoman of The Year and now winning the title is very humbling for me.\u00a0 I did\u00a0my post graduate in Birmingham on a part scholarship and\u00a0 now coming back to the city to win this award means so much to me. It’s amazing to get such recognition and validation from the community<\/em>\u201d, said Anishya: \u201cAt Zinda Foods we\u2019re more than just manufacturers and produce everything with the same care and attention as you would in your kitchen at home. The AirWrap <\/a>is just the first step in our journey. We have several more lines in various stages of new product development. We want to take things a notch higher, break that glass ceiling and do something radically different, because we\u2019re food-to-go innovators<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>
